Strategic Timing: Why Now (in 2020)

Even before COVID, CMS was putting increasing pressure on operators to modernize documentation and transparency. But in the pandemic’s wake, the stakes skyrocketed.

• CMS surveys resumed in August 2020, and providers were cited for missing PBJ data during emergency staffing changes
• Telehealth and remote audits meant documentation had to be airtight and instantly accessible
• Margins tightened across the board—driving demand for PDPM optimization
